Description
A one-of-a-kind bag developed through a study and reconstruction of the 3rd model U.S. Air Force helmet bag. Details derived from the original include the exterior and interior pocket construction and the heavy-gauge coil zipper, attached continuously around the opening. A circular gusset has been added to the base, allowing the bag to stand upright like a tote. Selected areas feature an original layered textile composed of Indian hand block-printed cotton, block-printed gauze, and vintage Kantha quilts that were actually used in everyday life in India. These different fabrics are pieced together and built up in multiple layers, giving each bag its own unique composition, stitching, and surface texture.
