MANU FABER
MANU FABERのものづくりは、ある空間や場所をイメージし、そこから形・素材を選んでいくことから始まります。
既成概念にとらわれず、独善的ともいえる感覚を頼りに進んでいきます。
あらかじめ完成形を決めるのではなく、手を動かし、素材に触れ、鉛筆で製図を引き、裁断し、縫う。
その過程で生まれる形や変化に目を向け、それらを捉えながら、さらに手を動かしていきます。
空間や素材、身体との関わりの中から、まだ見えていなかった形を発見していくこと。
そこからさらに掘り進め、時代を越えて交わる公約数を見つけていくこと。
そこへ至るまでの過程を捉え、提示します。
MANU FABER begins by imagining a certain space or place, and from there, choosing forms and materials.
Free from established ideas, I move forward guided by a deeply personal sense.
Rather than deciding on a finished form in advance, I work with my hands — touching the material, drawing patterns in pencil, cutting, and sewing.
I pay attention to the forms and changes that emerge through this process, responding to them as I continue to work.
To discover forms that were not yet visible through the relationship between space, material, and the body.
To explore them further, and find something shared across different times and eras.
I capture and present the process of arriving there.
Takeshi Nakamoto / ENO
北九州市出身。武蔵野美術大学ファッションデザインコース卒業。
インドの生地商社での勤務を経て、KAPITALのリメイクライン「KOUNTRY」でデザイナー、Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMMEでパタンナーを務める。
2024年、MANU FABERを設立。現在は宮崎を拠点に活動。
Born in Kitakyushu and based in Miyazaki, Japan.
Graduated from Musashino Art University.
After gaining experience working with textile importers in India, he worked as a designer at KAPITAL, and later as a menswear pattern maker at Yohji Yamamoto Inc.
In 2024, he launched MANU FABER.
